About CRPF

The Central Reserve Police Force was established as the police of the Crown Representative on the 27th July 1939. It was transformed into its own Central Reserve Police Force on the enactment of CRPF Act on 28th December 1949. It has concluded the 82 years of history of the force with a dazzling. The Force has evolved into a vast organization with the number of 246 Bns, (including the 203 executive Bns, 5 VIP Security Bns, 6 Mahila Bns 15 RAF Bns 10 CoBRA Bns and 2005 Signal Bns , Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Bns Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Group Special Duty Group 01 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centres 22 Education Institutions 03 CWS. 07 AWS 03 MSWS/SWS 04 Composite Hospitals of 100 beds, 18 composite Hospitals with 50 beds and also 06 Field Hospitals.

Directorate General

Administration

Administration Directorate Administration Directorate is operating under the direction and the supervision from lG (Adm). They are assisted by DIG (Adm) and DIG (Welfare).

Personnel

The Personnel Directorate is functioning under the supervision under the supervision of lG (Pers). He is assisted with the assistance by DIG (Pers), DIG (CR and Vig), DIG (Org), DIG (Estt) and Comdt(Estt).

Training

The Training Directorate is functioning under the supervision of IG(Training). He is supported through DIG (Training-l), DIG (Training-ll) and DIG(Sports).

Operations

The Operations Directorate is functioning under the supervision of IG (OPS). He is supported through DIG (OPS-I) as well as DIG (OPS-II).

Provisioning

The Provisioning Directorate is under the oversight under the supervision of IG (Provisioning). The Directorate is supported by the DIG (Prov) (Mod & Ord) (Mod & Ord), DIG (Mod & ord), DIG(MT), Comdt. (Mod) and Asstt. Director (Prov).

Communication

IG(Communication) is responsible for Communication Dte. Communication Dte. He is assisted with DIG (Eqpt ) DIG (Tech) and DIG (IT) .

Intelligence

The Intelligence Directorate is under the direction is the responsibility of IG (Intelligence). He is assisted by DIG (MAC),Commandant(Int) and PRO.

Establishment

The Establishment branch operates under the supervision by IG(Estt.). The IG(Estt.) is supported by the assistance of DIG(Law) in conjunction with DIG (Rectt).

Finance

The Finance Branch and Pay is managed under the direction of Direct Supervision by the FA. It is assisted by Dy.FA.

Medical

The Medical Branch is functioning under the supervision of IG Director (Medical). He is assisted by 2 Dy. Director (Medical).

The Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF) is India's largest Central Armed Police Force. It operates under the authority of part of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. The main role of the CRPF is helping the State/Union territory by assisting police-related tasks that maintain peace and security as well in combating insurgency. It was established by virtue having been it was the Crown Rep's Police on the 27th July 1939. Following Indian Independence, it was transformed into the CRPF, its very own Central Reserve Police Force on the enactment of CRPF Act on 28 December 1949.
